Leaf is a blockchain-based digital wallet that enables the unbanked to store, send & receive, and exchange currencies on their phones— no smartphone required. With Leaf, customers can store, transport, exchange, send, and receive money digitally. Leaf's market includes the nearly 500 million cross-border traders across Africa and 79.5 million forcibly displaced refugees and migrants. Leaf Wallet is live in Kenya, Uganda, and Rwanda, available both on USSD and as a smartphone app on Google Play Store and App Store. Users cash in and out of Leaf from any mobile money number in East Africa. During the investment period, Leaf will expand to three new countries in Africa and integrate with a major financial institutional partner to use retail locations as Leaf cash-in/out points.
