The Nubian's VR-Learning-Centre will provide the ecosystem tools required to unleash a global learning-revolution desired by the global-community as indicated by SDG4. Education provides the most compelling means of preserving humanity's progress. Globally the most pressing educational challenge is providing equitable access to quality lifelong education for all. This pressing need is reflected by SDG4. Globally 57 million children of primary school age are out of school; 50 percent of whom live in conflict- affected areas; 103 million youth & 774 million adults worldwide lack basic literacy skills (a majority of whom are women). These statistics paint a clear picture of the global learning crisis and a need to adopt a more scalable & inclusive approach to education parallel to brick-and-mortar learning institutions.
Nubian is working on this goal by: 1) Reducing the cost of delivering quality-education in brick-and-mortar learning-institutions, which can be circumvented by immersive VR-simulations of classrooms, labs and computers; 2) By bridging the gap brick-and-mortar learning-institutions has placed on students in various scenarios-such as children in conflict areas who have their education interrupted; and children-of-school-age (especially girls) who are restricted from accessing education as a result of societal-customs that rather have them assist with household-activities. 3) By transcending the curricular limits that traditional learning institutions have consciously/unconsciously placed on the potential of educators & learners alike.
