Convexity Humanitarian Aid Transfer Solution (CHATS) is a product by Convexity, a Nigeria-based blockchain solution and consulting company.

The CHATS product team has more than 20 years of combined experience in the humanitarian and financial sectors and has built this blockchain-based solution to address Cash & Voucher Assistance (CVA) distribution issues in Africa, curtail fraud within the aid administration, and Improve the wellbeing of vulnerable children and their households.

We are building a digital cash and voucher transfer platform based on blockchain to move value (funds) between donors, NGOs, and other relevant parties.

Blockchain’s immutability and transparency allow donors and auditors to track and watch the aid distribution process. CHATS makes it possible for all recipients to have a wallet account attached to an identifiable verified individual. Beneficiaries have multiple channels of claiming their aid using USSD, SMS vouchers, QR code paper vouchers and NFC cards for beneficiaries without access to a Smartphone and the internet. With CHATS aid is geo-fenced and mapped to prevent disbursement from happening outside authorized locations. Thus giving donors visibility to their respective funded project via a direct communication channel with participating NGOs and community-based organizations involved in the funded project

The CHATS system is also built with a non-custodial smart contract cryptocurrency fund management system which allows donors to pause or request donated funds not to be disbursed if foul play is detected in the disbursement process.
