TeliportMe is building RemixVR, an open platform capable of providing VR content across platforms to create immersive and enhanced learning experiences for children. In addition, content creators, developers and teachers alike are expected to use RemixVR to build learning experiences. Immersive education has proven to help children understand concepts faster, while learning about and experiencing things what would not have been otherwise achieved. Currently, content and virtual reality (VR) experiences are developed and made available on siloed, selective, expensive and unattainable platforms with incompatibilities across different hardware devices required for viewing the content. TeliportMe’s solution uses WebVR across browsers due to its open standard. This means that building this template type framework with VR experiences and 3D models as building blocks on WebVR the VR content creation can be democratized for low fidelity experiences. VR has potential to support various aspects of a child’s complete growth including education, vocational training, overcoming disabilities in learning environments and mental health treatments. The use of of WebXR reduces technology inequity and makes VR equally accessible to geographies that are technologically less developed.
