Syria was the first country to pilot the U-Report app and engage young people through this new channel. U-Report, launched in Syria on 1 of January, 2017, will play an important role in engaging young people and communities in an emergency context, by collecting data on behaviour change and effectiveness of programmes related to various issues. Priority areas include an increase in immunisation rates, enhancing school enrollment among internally displaced children and increasing the number of children accessing child-friendly spaces. During the project, the global U-Report app was localized to be compatible in Syria.
